Karodidhwaji should mean crore flags (Karod- Crore, Dhwaj- Flag). It is small, old and a peaceful premises of Sun temple on little hill little far away from Abu Road and off track from village Anadara. It is called karodi dhwaji may be to symbolize crores of sun rays. Folklore says when one tribal banjara or someone in his troop got rid of his illness because of medicinal properties of water in the well on the hill, they built a there a sun temple as a landmark. It has many antique sculptures of our god and goddesses.

Entire structure except staircase which leads down to the well is naturally made.
In local marwari it is called Veri. I don't know if it has any medicinal value now, but the water is clean and drinkable. Spring water drips into well through crevices in the rocks. It is only source of water up on the hill.

Karodidwaji is a place where I have often found solace and it is not only about my good childhood memories.
Everyone I guess finds a person, thing or place which calms.
