Happy birthday wish to Chandan

Ek manushyaki kalpana ki thi maine,
jo chal pade bin poochhe sawal, sath main
manzil nahi, chale safar ka maza le ke...

Jiska ho sunder hriday aur viksit mann,
bhuja shaktishali aur kahe satya vachan,
madmast rahe, apne main aur apno se...

Kaise khushi vyakta karu main?
Kya kahu tujhe?
Tu hi hain yeh kalpana, jo sajeevan hui hai..

Tere janam divas pe, karu bahut si shubh kamnaye,
safalta, shakti, aur sukh tino se smridhha rahe tu,
yash mile tujhe aur anant prem bhi, hain meri asha..

(It was D.17.05.2009. First, we went to Hard Rock Cafe, it was full of kids, yeah kids party was on, then we went to Not Just Jazz by the Bay, it was closed for maintenance, so we headed to Cafe Mondegar at Colaba, there with a drink and food we also bought a T-shirt from the outlet and while on the way to Gateway of India, a cigarette was lit and shared, then Saurabh joined at Markiv's near Churchgate station where we made Chandu, cut a tiny pastry on his 24th Birthday, and we sang songs loudly by the sea at Nariman Point,  waited an hour for dinner at pleasantly crowded Pizzaria... Talked of life, purpose of life, and life after death and missed Kapil's presence... the day was unplanned celebration and was full of lightheartedness.......  Lightheartedness  is very pleasant thing to feel....and a rare.

Now, it is Christmas season, Chandu has left Bombay for Pune, Sauru has initiated his married life, and Kapil   is busy with his work at sugar factory in Parli... I am in my small room thinking about the days only few months old when my days were driven by zeal and desires. When we roamed around and also worked hard on studies, enjoyed every bit of it but never accepted that it was fun. May be days like those will return or may be they wont ever.. but, the point is I have had my time, just the way I imagined in my reveries.... and it assures me that I am not incapable of feeling joy and fearlessness, that I can be as crazy as I want, that I loved the way I was....Beedi, named me Chandu... my first nickname... )
